Extended abdominoplasty includes both complete abdominoplasty and lateral thigh lift. Scars by this type of surgery runs from the posterior axillary line. Besides addition to vertical-line tightening in High lateral tension Abdominoplasty new technique muscles are tightened horizontally resulting as better-defined waistline with dramatically flat abdomen. Another new technique as FAB Technique or Floating Abdominoplasty which can also known as an extended mini Abdominoplasty necessary shaping is processed with a smaller incision which cannot be done around the belly button. Excess skin is removed by this smaller incision and the belly button is temporarily detached and muscles are tightened and reshaped from sternum to pubic area. Likewise skin is tightened and the belly button is reattached, or moved down one or two cm if desired. In case of Circumferential abdominoplasty it includes extended abdominoplasty with a buttock lift. Patients who have undergone massive weight loss this kind of operation is most appropriate.
